Senior Helpers' Exhibit Guide

As described here, we encourage each school to provide helpers from S5 and S6, whose job it is to take small groups of S2 pupils around the SCI-FUN exhibits, during the hands-on session.

We've produced a short booklet for the senior helpers, describing the basic science behind each of our exhibits, and some information for the helpers to pass on to their S2 pupil groups. You might find it useful for your school to download the booklet in advance of our visit, and distribute it to the helpers: we hope it'll make their SCI-FUN experience more satisfying.

Resources permitting (:-), every exhibit used in the Roadshow will have a dedicated page, augmenting the (limited) information presented to pupils during the hands-on sessions. The page will provide background information, a more detailed description of the science behind the exhibit (which the reader will be able to tailor to his or her level of expertise), and links to additional web information.
