On 28 July, PP4SS and SCI-FUN visited St Leonards school in St Andrews, to present the poster competition prizes to the winning team. As part of our day at the school, the PP4SS exhibits (minus the cosmic ray hodoscope, still under construction) were on display, and a brief workshop was undertaken during the morning with St Leonards Higher and A Level students. Later that day, with Physics pupils from Madras College in attendance, Alan Walker gave an introductory talk on particle physics and accelerators.

The winning team of Jonathan Baird, Francis Dilley (not shown above), Joshua Lipworth (not shown above) and Stewart Mackenzie Shaw, with their teacher Catherine Dunn, will be visiting the CERN Nuclear Research laboratories in Geneva, at a date to be arranged.
